Product Owner Security Standards

The NN Group IT Organization is looking for a seasoned information security professional, who is ready for the next step in her/his career. Do you want to make a true impact on the information security of the entire NN Group? We are looking for an expert who will take up the role of product owner for the security standards of NN Group, including the centrally provided security awareness activities.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of IT security, control frameworks and industry standards. You know how to translate security standards in a pragmatic way, so our engineers can create safe products for which they are in control. Next to this, you set change in motion, you enjoy taking the initiative and bring our standards to the next level.

Wat je gaat doen

Within NN, product owners and their teams are responsible for the security of their (digital) products, including the assurance to show they are in control. One of the responsibilities of the Security Consultancy & Assurance domain, is to maintain, and update the IT Security standards and procedures, including our IT Control Framework. This includes making sure the standards, get implemented in the tools for our engineers (i.e. for control tracking and performing security assessments). The standards apply to all business units and countries of NN Group. Our ongoing challenge is to optimize and automate as much as possible to increase quality and reduce manual work.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ownership of the NN Group IT Security Standard and processes
• Create a vision on security & compliancy, focussing on automation
• Working with the product teams, supporting our ISMS and security assessment tooling, to make sure the latest security standards are reflected in the tools
• Owning and improving the centrally provided security awareness activities of NN Group
• Driving, coordinating and reporting on central improvement initiatives for security processes and procedures across NN Group. Being able to convey your message to both management teams as well as devops teams

Wat je meebrengt

• You are proactive and result-driven, you know how to set priorities, and ensure you meet agreements made
• Concise and eye for detail while keeping the overall picture and goal in mind
• Clear communication style and being able to cooperate with people with various backgrounds
• You have hands-on experience with security processes and procedures in large organisations. Experience with control automation and financial institutions is an advantage
• Skilled and experienced (+10 years) in IT and IT security, preferably educated as Bachelor or Master degree in IT (or other technical and/or security-oriented degree). Preferably CISSP certified, and/or cloud certification such as AWS or Azure, network or other relevant security and technical certifications
